Thursday morning turned tense on the 900 block of Dresden Road after bullets hit a Cleveland Heights home and a nearby vehicle. One round entered the kitchen while a woman was inside, but she was not hurt. Police responded to the scene and are asking neighbors for information as investigators work to identify a suspect.
What officials said
City spokespeople told 19 News the shooting happened around 9:50 a.m. and that bullets landed in the kitchen area. The woman inside was not injured. The outlet also reported that a vehicle traveling near the house was struck by a bullet, but again, no one was hurt.
Police ask for tips
The department has asked anyone with information to contact the Cleveland Heights Police Detective Bureau at 216-291-3883, according to the Cuyahoga County directory. Officials are encouraging residents with doorbell or dash-cam video from around the time of the shooting to share footage with investigators to help move the case forward.
Not an isolated call
This is not the first time gunfire has hit a home in the area. In July 2025, 19 News reported that Cleveland Heights police were searching for a person accused of firing into a residence.
