The confrontation unfolded just after 6:15 p.m. near The Shops at Canton Crossing in the 3900 block of Boston Street, when store security confronted a man who had walked out with several unpaid items, according to FOX Baltimore. Guards managed to recover some of the merchandise and were heading back inside when the man followed them into the store and hurled an object.
The thrown item hit a wall and injured both the security guard and a customer, FOX Baltimore reported. Medics treated the guard at the scene, and the customer also sustained minor injuries. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had already taken off.
