Charlotte County residents and visitors heading through Midway Boulevard should prep for some delays. Starting today through Friday, Lumos Fiber is getting down to work, installing some underground fiber between Hariet Street and Noble Terrace. This means you're gonna see intermittent lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. So maybe grab that coffee a little earlier, as you'll need to factor in some extra minutes into your commute.
As always, the Public Works Department is nudging drivers to stay sharp and take care when driving near the zones where crews will be doing their thing. And fair warning: disrupting the usual flow, those lanes are gonna be closed off and on, so plan accordingly.
If you're itching for more details or just need to shoot some questions, Basilio Frias over at Lumos Fiber is the man to talk to. He can be reached at 239-710-2258, for anybody needing clarity or looking to dodge the worst of it. For a bit more clarity, you might want to check out the advisory for yourself, which is up for grabs over at the county's news update.
