The fast-food chain is planning its first restaurant in the city, a roughly 5,208-square-foot standalone spot on Howland Boulevard with a double drive-thru designed to keep long lines from spilling over into the street. The project would add another national dining anchor to Deltona’s growing commercial corridor.

The proposed restaurant would span about 5,208 square feet and sit on a pad site along Howland Boulevard, with a two-lane drive-thru aimed at handling heavy traffic. Chick-fil-A is also pursuing another Volusia County location, according to Orlando Business Journal.
Prime Spot in a Busy Corridor
The planned site sits along Deltona’s busy Howland corridor near I-4 and the Deltona Village mixed-use project, an area that brokers have been actively pitching to national quick-service brands. A commercial listing for 3221 Howland Blvd calls out nearby tenants, strong traffic counts and the Deltona Village development as key selling points, according to Crexi.
Part of a Bigger Central Florida Play
Chick-fil-A already operates dozens of locations across the greater Orlando–Daytona market and has been steadily adding restaurants throughout Central Florida. In a press release on a recent Sanford opening, the company said that the location would create about 120 full- and part-time jobs, underscoring the kind of economic impact new stores typically bring, as outlined by Chick-fil-A.

There is no public opening date yet for the Deltona restaurant. The proposal still has to move through the city’s site-plan review and permitting process before any construction can begin.
