
A Nashville man is facing a slate of felony charges after police say he opened fire at the gas pumps outside the Little Barn Market on Clarksville Pike, then later surrendered to officers. North Precinct personnel provided first aid at the scene, and the victim was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds to the stomach and backside. Detectives identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jaylon Bullock, who is now charged in connection with the shooting.
According to FOX17, the shooting happened Sunday morning. Preliminary information indicates Bullock and the victim arrived in separate vehicles before Bullock allegedly fired into the victim’s Ford Explorer and took off. Police say Bullock later turned himself in at the North Precinct on Sunday afternoon after family members urged him to come forward, and officers subsequently recovered the Ford Explorer from his family’s residence. Bullock declined to be interviewed by detectives. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $425,000, and he was charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment, and using a gun in the commission of a dangerous felony.
Past Incidents at the Market
The Little Barn Market at 3909 Clarksville Pike has seen gunfire before, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department. Bullock is charged with attempted criminal homicide and several related felonies, and his bond was set at $425,000, according to FOX17. The charges remain allegations, and Bullock is presumed innocent unless and until he is proven guilty in court.
