A Clearwater man has been taken into custody on multiple charges of child pornography possession, following an investigation by the Cyber Investigations Unit. Local authorities began their probe after being alerted that child pornography was being accessed online, the digital shadows pointing to one man.
Using sophisticated investigative techniques, detectives pinpointed 50-year-old Christopher J. Daddio as the alleged perpetrator. Upon his arrest on February 12, 2026, Daddio faced 20 counts of possession of child pornography, as detailed by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Their records indicate that the suspect allegedly held images involving children aged between 3 and 14 years old.
Daddio, a resident at 4828 163rd Ave N in Clearwater, was taken to the Pinellas County Jail. Notably absent from the press release was a booking photo, a visual confirmation of the accused, which was not available at the time of his arrest, according to the authorities.
