
A disturbing incident unfolded in Clearwater where a man has admitted to the fatal stabbing of his mother. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has charged 24-year-old Daniel Sanchez after he reportedly told a friend that he had killed his mother, and detectives later discovered her with multiple stab wounds.
According to WTSP, deputies responded to the 911 call shortly before 3 p.m. last Thursday at the Serendipity Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, they found 65-year-old Yolanda Sanchez in a bedroom, deceased. Daniel Sanchez was subsequently arrested and is now facing a charge of second-degree murder for the death of his mother.
Details on what led to the argument between Daniel and Yolanda Sanchez remain scant, "It is unclear what led up to the initial argument," as reported by FOX13 News. What is known is that the altercation that began verbally between the mother and son, escalated to a fatal physical confrontation.
Daniel Sanchez confessed to "stabbing his mother multiple times until she was dead," the Clearwater Police Department told WFLA News. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail and remained there Friday.
