Coastal Farmer has been tapped as the signature restaurant at the newly rebranded Dune House Hotel & Spa in Atlantic Beach, promising farm-forward plates and tide-to-table seafood right on the oceanfront. Plans call for a main dining room, two private spaces and a dune-facing patio where guests can stroll in straight from the beach. Inside, the concept is set to lean into natural wood, rattan and pockets of greenery to match the hotel’s vintage surf-inspired look.
As reported by Jax Daily Record, Coastal Farmer’s private dining options will include a room for up to 16 guests and a smaller space for six, and the kitchen is slated to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with wine, cocktails and local spirits. The announcement describes the menu as “built around farm forward sourcing and tide to table seafood,” and it notably skips over sample prices. The release also underscores that Coastal Farmer is intended to be the hotel’s signature dining destination, not just another lobby restaurant.
A dune-facing patio close to the sand
The hotel’s site highlights a dune-facing patio where guests can walk directly in from the sand or Ocean Boulevard, giving Coastal Farmer rare beachfront access among Beaches Town Center spots. Dune House Hotel & Spa lists the property at 1 Ocean Boulevard in Atlantic Beach and shows rooms and booking options ahead of the full reopening.
From One Ocean to Dune House
The Dune House is a top-to-bottom rebrand of the former One Ocean Resort & Spa and is expected to feature roughly 193 refreshed guest rooms, according to the owners. Jax Daily Record reported that Sage Investments joined Aspect Real Estate Group, Corner Lot and Kelco Management and Development to buy the property through ACS One Ocean Propco LLC, and that Denver-based Sage Hospitality Group will continue to manage operations and oversee the hotel’s dining through Sage Restaurant Concepts. That continuity positions the hotel’s restaurants to court both overnight guests and locals, not just room service orders.
When the restaurant could open
Timing for Coastal Farmer’s debut is still a bit up in the air. Industry listings and the hotel’s reservation page point to early March availability, while other announcements float a summer 2026 target. HospitalityNet currently lists March reservations, so locals who want to be at the very first service will want to keep an eye on the hotel’s updates for a firm opening date.
Local impact and what to watch
The Dune House’s plan to roll out four food-and-beverage concepts — Coastal Farmer, Soothsayer, Café Dune and Sea Turtle Scoops — gives Atlantic Beach a mix of casual and more elevated options that could reshape weekend foot traffic near the Beaches Town Center. Industry coverage notes that the hotel will pair its new dining lineup with event space and a modernized spa, turning the property into more of an all-day, multi-use draw for the neighborhood. Travel and Tour World has summarized the hotel’s planned dining concepts and amenities.
