Crust & Craft looks ready to make a play for one of Greensboro's prime pizza corners, with fresh signage popping up at the former Brixx Wood Fired Pizza spot on Westover Terrace and setting off a wave of neighborhood speculation.
New signs for the Georgia-based chain have appeared at the Westover Gallery of Shops, in the space Brixx recently vacated, after that location announced it was closing earlier in February. Locals driving by started clocking the swap almost immediately, fueling talk that a new pie slinger is circling the address.
As reported by Triad Business Journal, Crust & Craft signage is now up at 1424 Westover Terrace, the storefront that most recently housed Brixx. Word of the new sign has ricocheted through regional outlets and social media, with many observers reading it as the first public clue to a likely replacement tenant at the Westover Gallery of Shops.
The brand currently runs locations in McDonough and Greenville, according to Crust & Craft, and industry watchers have flagged a new downtown Senoia outpost as being in the works. PizzaFranchiseHub and other trade outlets have also noted that co-owner David Valentine has been talking up the idea of expanding into new markets.
Brixx's exit clears the way
According to Yahoo, Brixx announced that its Greensboro franchise closed on Feb. 16, 2026, leaving the Westover unit empty and highly visible to potential tenants. With that high-traffic corner suddenly dark, a quick sign swap from another chain is not exactly shocking to folks who follow local retail churn.
Owners say expansion is on the table
Co-owner David Valentine told What Now Atlanta that the team hopes to grow into new markets, a comment that lines up neatly with the brand's recent activity in nearby states. Valentine did not offer a timeline for any Greensboro opening, and there has been no formal announcement from Crust & Craft or from the Westover property's owner.
What to watch next
The Westover storefront sits in a busy shopping center that serves Irving Park and nearby office clusters, according to commercial listings, which makes it an attractive landing spot for a full-service pizzeria eyeing steady lunch and dinner traffic. For now, the next telltale signs would be permit filings, job postings, or a formal lease announcement. The center's commercial footprint is detailed on LoopNet.
At this point, the signage is a strong hint but not a guarantee, and until paperwork surfaces or the brand posts an opening date, the move remains in the "likely but unconfirmed" column. We'll keep an eye on the site and update readers once Crust & Craft or the landlord goes on record about plans for Westover Terrace.
