As reported by the Houston Chronicle, Dallas-based FreeRange Concepts, the company behind The Rustic, is operating the new spot at East River 9. In a statement, CEO Kyle Noonan said, "The focus is cold drinks, big screens and plenty of room to settle in, especially at sunset along the bayou." The Chronicle notes that the opening was first shared in a company press release.

According to East River 9, Birdie's is serving house-made burgers, tacos, frozen drinks, and classic cocktails, with plenty of TVs and a large LED screen on site for game days.
