A late-morning attack on a North Philadelphia block turned deadly Wednesday when a man was fatally stabbed on Oakdale Street, police said.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Oakdale Street at about 10:15 a.m. and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his face and neck, according to police. Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Philadelphia's homicide unit has opened an investigation into the killing.
