A Thursday search-warrant sweep at a Red Bluff home ended with a major meth haul and one person in handcuffs, according to authorities. The Tehama County Major Crimes Task Force says it found about 3.8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine at a residence on the 1300 block of Deborah Drive and arrested 63-year-old Sheryl Cadotte at the scene.
As reported by Action News Now, the Major Crimes Task Force led the operation with backup from Tehama County Parole, Tehama County Probation and the Red Bluff Police Department. The sheriff’s office later shared word of the bust on its social media accounts while investigators stayed on scene to sort through evidence.
Investigators Say the Search Turned Up Evidence of Sales
According to the Tehama County Sheriff's Office, agents found items inside the home that they say were consistent with methamphetamine distribution, along with the suspected drugs that were seized for testing. Officials said what they collected at the Deborah Drive address will feed into an ongoing narcotics investigation focused on local meth trafficking.
Charges and What Happens Next
Action News Now reports that Cadotte was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, maintaining a residence for drug sales and child endangerment. Booking records that would show her custody status or any initial court dates had not been posted publicly by law enforcement at the time of the report.
How This Fits in Locally
The Red Bluff sweep is the latest multi-agency narcotics operation in Tehama County this winter, as local repostings of sheriff’s press materials have highlighted several recent search-warrant actions that also turned up drugs and stolen property. One earlier account was republished by Crime Voice, which carried the sheriff’s description of a late-January search in Red Bluff that similarly combined narcotics and property-crime enforcement.
Sheriff’s officials have not yet released additional case documents in the Deborah Drive matter, and investigators are encouraging anyone who has information about narcotics activity in the area to contact local law enforcement through the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office contact page. This story will be updated as prosecutors file formal charges or new court records become available.
