A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for Tampa Bay until 10 a.m. EST, the National Weather Service said. Visibility in Coastal Hillsborough, Coastal Manatee, and Pinellas counties has dropped to a quarter mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, Fog is impacting Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Tampa, but skies are expected to clear later today with a high near 77. Drivers should use caution during the morning commute, slow down, use headlights and leave extra following distance.
The NWS expects patchy fog after midnight with mostly clear skies and a low near 56. Fog may linger into mid-morning Friday before sunny skies return and highs reach around 80.
Sunday has a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Rain chances rise to 90% Sunday night, with thunderstorms possible.
