North Fort Worth commuters may soon have a new way to grab dinner without leaving the driver's seat. Za Zoom Pizza, a fast-food pizzeria built around a drive-thru window and by-the-slice service, is lining up a new location in the Alliance area and is aiming for a late-summer 2026 debut. The concept leans hard into quick, car-friendly pickup instead of sit-down dining, and the plan has already surfaced in municipal filings and company materials along the Tarrant Parkway corridor.
Permit filings mark the first step
City permit records show the company has applied to open in the Alliance corridor, according to the Fort Worth Star‑Telegram. The filing describes the spot as a fast-food pizzeria that will serve pizza by the slice through a drive-thru window.
Founders bring pizza experience and tech
Za Zoom lists Sean Brown and Tyler DiGiovanni as co-founders and notes a Q3 2026 launch window on its site. According to Za Zoom Pizza, DiGiovanni previously sold his pizza-oven business to Solo Stove and has supplied frozen dough balls and baked pies for high-profile events, an experience the company says it will lean on to scale a fast, consistent slice operation.
Positioning in a crowded corridor
The Star‑Telegram reports the planned Za Zoom site sits along Tarrant Parkway, less than a mile from an existing CiCi’s Pizza, which operates mainly as dine-in and carryout. That close proximity suggests Za Zoom is betting that Fort Worth customers will opt for convenience and speed over the classic sit-down model, the outlet noted.
Off-premise service is the play
Industry coverage shows restaurant operators are steadily pouring money into pickup and drive-thru technology to capture off-premise demand and shave minutes off wait times. Restaurant Dive and other trade outlets have tracked how pickup- and drive-thru-focused moves, from app check-ins to dedicated pickup lanes, are reshaping pizza operations.
Za Zoom's site also lists contact emails for the co-founders and repeats the Q3 2026 launch target. The company says it will share exact opening and hiring details as building permits move ahead. For now, locals can expect more permit activity and construction notices in the coming months as the brand works toward that late-summer 2026 opening.
