
A single-vehicle crash on Solomons Island Road near Poplar Point Road turned deadly Friday morning, according to Anne Arundel County police. A 23-year-old Edgewater man was taken from the scene by emergency crews to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
According to Eye On Annapolis, the vehicle, a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, was traveling south when it left the roadway, entered the center median, and struck a tree south of East Road. The site reports that authorities have not released the driver's name and that the crash remains under investigation.
