A family's search for answers has come to a tragic end after Gregory Brisboy, a 59-year-old man from the Edmore area who had been missing since last Saturday, was found dead. Michigan State Police (MSP) confirmed on Monday that Brisboy's body was discovered in a location not far from his residence on Wyman Road near northeast Cutler Road. He had been reported missing on Sunday.
According to WOODTV, authorities indicated there were no signs of foul play and said "The circumstances are consistent with death due to exposure to the elements." Brisboy had left his home without his shoes, wallet, or cellphone, which contributed to the initial concern for his welfare. An investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing. An MSP Lt. Pat Agema told WOODTV that Brisboy might have had a reaction to a new pain medication.
The announcement of Brisboy's location was first disseminated early on Monday by MSP, who had begun seeking assistance from the community earlier that morning, as detailed by a Sunday report that triggered a search.
