A Pittsburgh community is grappling with the tragic death of an 83-year-old man in the early stages of dementia, who was found stabbed in a home on Saturday morning. Pittsburgh Public Safety officials confirmed that Lester Bridges, the missing man, was the victim of the stabbing at a residence in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood.
Officers responded to the 7200 block of Hilliards Street just before 8 a.m. after a homeowner reported a break-in and subsequent confrontation that led to the stabbing. The homeowner had called 911, indicating that someone had entered his home around 2 a.m. The police discovered Bridges deceased upon their arrival, according to WPXI.
