A disruption has occurred at 345 Lincoln Ave, disrupting the flow, not merely of water, but of daily routine for Fairfield County residents. The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office has announced a main water line break near their main entrance, and with it comes changes in how citizens can approach and access important county services.
According to their Facebook post, the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to use the Wheeling St. entrance next to the gas station—to then navigate around the building complex—for parking and sidewalk access to the Jail and Administrative Offices/911 Dispatch Center. While repairs are set to swiftly be made, they thank residents for their patience during this unexpected inconvenience.
Details about the cause of the break or the estimated time for repair have not been disclosed as of yet. The water main break is an infrastructure hiccup that reminds us of the wear and tear borne by the unseen systems that keep our communities running. It’s a break in the usual reality that can often go unnoticed until something goes amiss.
