Someone who swung by the Stop N Go on Park Avenue in Fond du Lac just turned a routine errand into a six-figure payday. A Badger 5 jackpot ticket worth $128,000 was sold there in Wednesday's Badger 5 drawing, adding another big win to what has already been a busy month for the game across Wisconsin.
Winning numbers and prize details
The Badger 5 game page from the Wisconsin Lottery lists the winning numbers as 2-4-6-12-24. The site shows that a single play matched all five numbers for the full $128,000 jackpot.
The same drawing page outlines the distribution of lower-tier prizes and pegs the odds of hitting the Badger 5 jackpot at about 1 in 169,911.
Stop N Go reaction and the Miracle Mile
Store manager Kelly Moore told FOX6 News Milwaukee that the Stop N Go "sells quite a few Badger 5 tickets" and added that "hopefully, this win is the start of a Miracle Mile on the north side of Fond du Lac."
According to FOX6, the $128,000 winner is the largest ticket ever sold by that retailer and marks the third Badger 5 jackpot of more than $100,000 reported in February.
How winners claim prizes and retailer bonus
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes, and larger payouts generally must be validated at a Lottery office. The Lottery also recommends that players check their tickets using its mobile app, per the Wisconsin Lottery.
Under the Lottery's Retailer Performance Program, stores that sell winning tickets worth more than $599 receive a 2 percent bonus capped at $100,000, which would work out to about $2,560 on a $128,000 ticket, according to the Wisconsin Lottery.
