Orange County deputies have arrested a former community association manager on multiple child pornography charges, prompting an ongoing investigation and a call to the public for any pertinent information. According to ClickOrlando, the individual in question is 56-year-old Steven Craig Logan, who, until his recent arrest, was the Recreation and Special Events Department Manager at Hunter’s Creek Community Association.
A cybertip led investigators to Logan, accused of possessing unlawful material depicting sexual performance by a child. FOX 35 Orlando reported that upon executing a search warrant, authorities retrieved over 30 images and nearly 20 videos of child pornography from Logan's Dropbox account and various electronic devices. Adding to the disturbing findings, deputies found footage within the association's facilities, including areas where children were present, obtained without their knowledge or consent.
Logan's employment at the community association was terminated following his January 29 arrest. Included in the disconcerting materials were surveillance videos from community areas such as parking lots and bathrooms, reportedly showing children, as well as videos focusing on juvenile boys between 15 and 17 years of age, created using a "Discreet Camera App," as per ClickOrlando.
In a statement obtained by ClickOrlando, the Hunter Creek Community Association said, "The allegations are deeply troubling. We will continue our cooperation with law enforcement, and we are relieved that Detectives do not believe that any local children were put in any immediate physical danger or depicted in any violent or extreme physical exploitation in Logan’s possession." Meanwhile, detectives are continuing their investigation and have expressed that none of the files seem to feature local children.
Authorities urge anyone with information or concerns about interactions with Logan, particularly where children are involved, to reach out to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The community, scarred by these revelations, can contact the sheriff’s office at 407-836-4357 with any relevant details or disturbing encounters.
