Units from Fire Station 36 were dispatched to the scene, and officials quickly warned residents to treat any fallen lines as live and to report emergencies to 911.

Downed power lines carry a serious risk of electrocution and fire, and utilities urge everyone to assume any fallen line is energized and to stay well away. LAFD records note a previous brush fire at 460 N Gaffey St on Aug. 31, 2025, when crews contained roughly a half-acre of burning brush uphill of the roadway.
