Residents of Hamilton Township and surrounding communities are on high alert after the arrest of Fabio Suarez-Moreno, following an alarming incident involving a minor. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office reported that on Monday, Feb. 2, a 13-year-old girl claimed to have been approached by Suarez-Moreno, who allegedly displayed highly inappropriate and illegal behavior.
According to the victim's account, the suspect was situated in his vehicle without pants in the Hamilton Meadows neighborhood and began fondling himself. He then proceeded to ask her to enter his car. Reacting quickly to the situation, the girl managed to evade the suspect, escaping to safety and alerting the authorities of the encounter. Arrested the following day, Suarez-Moreno is now facing charges for Public Indecency and Criminal Child Enticement.
The girl, having narrowly escaped a potentially dangerous situation, serves as a harrowing reminder of the threats that can lurk in unsuspecting places. As part of their public service duty, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office has taken this opportunity to urge parents and guardians to have critical conversations regarding stranger danger and how children can protect themselves from such incidents.
