The Leesburg Police Department reported an arrest in the case of a December larceny at an AT&T Store, as per a recent announcement. The incident, which occurred on December 23, 2025, involved a male who entered the store located at 1604 Village Market Boulevard and forcibly removed merchandise secured by cables.
Investigations following the incident led the detectives to identify the suspect as Melsun S. Perry, a 34-year-old from Hyattsville, Maryland. A grand larceny warrant was obtained for Perry on January 13, 2026. The breakthrough came as a result of detective work and collaborative law enforcement efforts.
Perry's apprehension happened on February 10, 2026, thanks to the efforts of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland. Following his arrest, he was taken to the Calvert County Adult Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond on the charges from the Leesburg Police, as well as separate charges from other jurisdictions.
