
Mark your calendars for the 2026 Prescribed Fire Fest at Edward Medard Conservation Park in Hillsborough County on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Presented by Hillsborough County Conservation & Environmental Lands Management, the festival offers hands-on activities and exhibits exploring the science of prescribed fires, which help maintain ecosystem health and prevent wildfires.
According to Hillsborough County, Attendees can visit the Kids' Zone, try firefighting skills, and receive a Junior Wildland Firefighter helmet. Equipment displays provide a close-up look at the tools used in controlled burns, while partner exhibits highlight conservation and wildlife education. Entry is $2.
