J. Cole is locking in a summer date with Baltimore. The rapper has added a stop at CFG Bank Arena to his arena-spanning "The Fall‑Off Tour," for a headlining show. Presales for the North American leg are scheduled to start tomorrow, with the general on-sale slated for Friday, Feb. 20. The run is in support of Cole’s long-teased double album The Fall‑Off, which arrived earlier this month.
Tour stops and scale
The Fall‑Off Tour is a full-blown global arena run, slated to hit more than 50 cities across 15 countries, opening July 11 in Charlotte and rolling through major markets before closing in Johannesburg this December, according to HipHop‑N‑More. On the North American side, the itinerary includes Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia and a Baltimore stop on July 23.
Baltimore date and venue
The Baltimore show is set for Thursday, July 23 at CFG Bank Arena, the downtown arena at 201 W. Baltimore St., and ticketing listings currently show an 8 p.m. start time. The arena’s own venue pages list the address and box-office details, and secondary ticketing portals reflect the July 23 listing, as provided by CFG Bank Arena and SeatGeek.
Tickets and presales
Presales for the Baltimore stop open Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. local time, with the general on-sale following on Friday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m., according to Ticketmaster. Artist presales and VIP packages are set to run ahead of the public sale through the tour’s official presale channels and thefalloff.com.
What to expect at the show
The Fall‑Off is arriving with plenty of momentum. The album opened at No. 1 on the charts with roughly 280,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to XXL. Cole has been amplifying the rollout with a grassroots "trunk sale" approach, pulling up at campuses and selling CDs straight from the trunk of his car, a promotional tactic documented in multiple reports, including coverage from The Source.
