A 32-year-old man, Evan Daniel Kaufman, is being held by police after being accused of heinous crimes, including sexual battery and the online dissemination of private intimate acts. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the arrest in a social media post which detailed the disturbing allegations against Kaufman.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Kaufman allegedly recorded consensual sexual encounters with the understanding that the footage would remain private. Nevertheless, detectives discovered that he went on to upload these videos to several pornographic websites, flagrantly including the names of the women in the uploads. With the investigation starting in June of 2025, the troubling patterns began to surface, linking Kaufman to these offenses.
The case took a more violent turn when one victim claimed Kaufman had sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious and under the influence of alcohol. In another instance reported to the detectives, a woman accused Kaufman of committing video voyeurism during a period when she was too incapacitated by alcohol to give consent or even be aware of the recording.
In an effort to ascertain the full scope of Kaufman's actions and to ensure justice is served, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is urging any additional victims to come forward. "If you believe this man may have assaulted you or believe he has posted images of you online, please give our Special Assault Unit a call directly," the social media post stated, providing a direct line to the Special Assault Unit (904.630.2168) for those affected. Kaufman's mugshots, both from a 2019 DUI arrest and the recent charges, were included in the sheriff's office post to assist potential victims in identifying him.
As the investigation continues, the authorities are determined to deliver justice and are calling on the community for assistance. The detectives' inquiry into these crimes is ongoing, and Kaufman faces a litany of charges that underscore the severity of the allegations against him.
