Someone who recently stopped at a Jacksonville RaceTrac for a routine errand is now set to collect $1,000 a week for life, thanks to a winning Cash4Life ticket, the Florida Lottery announced Thursday. The ticket matched the five drawn numbers 1, 3, 28, 38, 40, 492 and carries the game's second-tier prize. The holder of the ticket has not been publicly identified.
Where the Ticket Was Sold
The Florida Lottery says the ticket was purchased at the RaceTrac at 6913 103rd St. in Jacksonville, according to Action News Jax. RaceTrac's locations page lists a Harlow store at that address, confirming the retailer's presence on 103rd Street and turning that stop into a very lucky one.
What the Prize Means
Under Cash4Life rules, matching all five white balls but not the Cash Ball wins $1,000 a week for life, while matching five plus the Cash Ball pays $1,000 a day for life, the Florida Lottery explains. The Lottery notes that Cash4Life drawings are nightly and that prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the winning draw date. The Cash4Life game itself is set to end on February 21, 2026, so players are urged to check their tickets and pay attention to claim deadlines.
Jacksonville's Recent Lottery Luck
The region has seen big winners before. In June 2025 a Jacksonville man claimed a Cash4Life top prize and chose a one-time lump sum of $7 million, according to News4Jax. That earlier winner's retailer received a bonus commission, a reminder that local stores can see a windfall of their own when they sell big tickets.
How to Claim
Winners are advised to sign the back of the ticket immediately, keep it in a safe place and contact the Florida Lottery for next steps. Second-tier and top prizes require processing at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. For local assistance or to schedule an appointment with the Jacksonville district office, the Florida Lottery's winner resources page has contact details and forms, so the new winner can turn that slip of paper into a steady weekly paycheck.
