John Chavis Memorial Park will host a Community Bike Rodeo and Traffic Garden Event, presented by Oaks & Spokes and Wake County Safe Routes to School. The event includes biking activities and safety education in recognition of Bike Month and Bike & Roll to School Day.
The Kids Bike Rodeo provides an opportunity for young riders to develop bicycle skills and confidence by navigating an obstacle course. A Traffic Garden simulates a real streetscape, allowing children to learn about road safety in an interactive setting. According to the city’s announcement, the event is open to children of all ages and emphasizes active movement and safe street practices.
The event will be held on May 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at John Chavis Memorial Park in Raleigh. Admission is free, and no registration is required. The event is open to all ages. More information is available on the City of Raleigh website.
