Just Salad has planted its flag on East Colonial Drive. The New York-based fast-casual chain has opened a new shop in Colonial Landing at 3162 E. Colonial Drive, marking its fifth location in the Orlando area and setting up a full week of grand-opening deals and community events for early March.
Grand-opening week and promos
According to a press release via GlobeNewswire, the Colonial Landing store will kick things off with Giveback Day on March 2, when the company will donate $1 from each in-store purchase to the 4Roots Foundation. From March 3 to 5, guests can cash in on $5 Meal Days. A Community Workers Day on March 6 will offer a $5 chef-designed meal to verified community workers, followed by VIP Bowl Day on March 7 and 8 for customers who bring or buy a reusable bowl.
The promotion run continues from March 9 through 27 with a reusable-bowl happy hour. On weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m., guests using a reusable bowl can score salads or warm bowls for $9.69, the release states.
A visible spot on Colonial Drive
Local reporting notes that the new Just Salad has taken over the former Smashburger space on East Colonial Drive, next to Jimmy John's and directly across from Fashion Square Mall, filling a highly visible vacancy along the corridor. That early look at the move-in came from Orlando outlet Bungalower.
Sustainability and community ties
The brand is a certified B Corporation and highlights sustainability through its reusable-bowl program and carbon-labeling efforts, according to the B Lab directory. B Lab lists the company as a certified B Corp. The Giveback Day partnership connects the opening to local food-access work by 4Roots, which operates an urban farm and community programs in Orlando.
