The Kebab Shop is officially on deck for McKinney. The San Diego–born fast-casual chain will open Friday in West Grove, serving Mediterranean-style wraps, bowls and plates out of its new space in the shopping center.
The shop is set to operate at 8701 W. University Drive, Suite 470, a detail announced in a company social media post and confirmed by local reporting, according to Community Impact. Community Impact first reported the McKinney location back in December, noting an initial January opening timeline that has now slid a bit on the calendar.
What’s on the menu
The chain’s website highlights a build-your-own approach centered on wraps, bowls and plates, with customization around proteins, sauces and fresh sides. The brand describes its style as “New‑School Mediterranean,” with menu staples like rotisserie kebab, grilled vegetables and hummus getting top billing. Online ordering and a rewards program for frequent customers are also featured on The Kebab Shop.
Store size and local context
Paperwork filed with state regulators and cited by local outlets shows the McKinney restaurant will cover about 2,298 square feet, a footprint in line with many fast-casual concepts, according to What Now. The opening adds to a recent run of new Texas locations for the chain, bringing another grab-and-go Mediterranean option to the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
For opening hours, detailed menu information and any launch-day specials, the company is directing customers to updates on its website and social media. Online ordering and the rewards program are listed on The Kebab Shop. We’ll be watching to see whether the McKinney debut comes with a formal grand-opening celebration or limited-time offers when doors open Friday.
