A quiet Brooklyn Park overnight shift turned tense early today when an armed robber hit a 7‑Eleven on Ritchie Highway, pulling a knife on a store employee before taking off with merchandise, according to county police.
Anne Arundel County officers were called to the convenience store in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway around 1:10 a.m. for the reported robbery. Investigators say the man threatened an employee with a knife, grabbed items from the store, and then fled the area.
Police Describe Suspect
Police describe the suspect as a Black man between 20 and 30 years old with facial tattoos. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, a blue puffer jacket, and black pants. Detectives in the Regional Crimes Unit are handling the investigation and are asking anyone with information to call 410-222-4730 or the anonymous tip line at 410-222-4700, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
How To Help
The robbery quickly drew attention from local outlets after the police notice went out, confirming the early-morning timeline and the Ritchie Highway location. FOX45 reported that authorities are urging anyone who saw something or has relevant details to contact investigators at the numbers provided.
Not The First Incident At This 7‑Eleven
County records show this 7‑Eleven is not new to the crime blotter. A November 2025 Anne Arundel County press release describes an earlier armed robbery at the same Ritchie Highway address that ended with an arrest. That earlier notice and the latest update were both issued by Anne Arundel County Police.
