A separate account from nottinghammd.com placed the standoff at around 8 p.m. Saturday in the unit block of Bayberry Road, near Walter Boulevard — a slightly different location description than the department's own 0 block reference. That report also identified the surrounding area as Carney, and its headline referenced Carney, leaving the exact municipality unclear based on the available reporting.
Drones and Air Units Assisting Officers
According to the local report, officers at the scene were working to bring the subject out peacefully, with drones and air units assisting in the effort. The site quoted the effort directly: “Officers are working to bring out the subject peacefully. Drones and air units are working to assist.” No information has been released about the eventual outcome of the incident, and neither the department's post nor the local report confirmed whether anyone was taken into custody.
Previous Barricades in the Area
Baltimore County has seen similar standoffs in the Parkville area before. In December 2022, police responded to a barricade in the 2800 block of Munster Road in Parkville, according to The Baltimore Sun. That call began as a reported burglary involving a man who had entered a residence and refused to leave, and the newspaper reported that hostage negotiators and a tactical team responded to the scene. The situation was resolved by about 6 p.m. that day, with a police spokesperson confirming the suspect was taken into custody.
Another barricade situation unfolded in the 21000 block of Duntore Place, with Baltimore County Police responding around noon on March 12, per a report from FOX45 Baltimore. Officers in that case also asked residents to stay out of the area while they worked. By 3:05 p.m., police said the Duntore Place standoff had ended peacefully, and a sergeant confirmed that no one was arrested.
As of now, no updates beyond Baltimore County Police's initial post have been made public regarding the Bayberry Road situation, and the eventual resolution of Saturday night's standoff remains unconfirmed.
