A Knox County pursuit ended in tragedy Wednesday when the pickup a man was driving ran off Rifle Range Road and struck a tree, killing him at the scene, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies with the Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash, and sections of Rifle Range Road were temporarily shut down while investigators secured and examined the area.

As reported by WBIR, the Knox County Sheriff's Office said the truck "ran off the road and hit a tree on Rifle Range Road." The agency confirmed the man died following the crash and said the incident remains under investigation.
