The Seattle-born chain is promising an oversized bar, big screens tuned to live games and a design that nods to the nearby Kraken practice facility, all while keeping xiao long bao at the center of the action. The new restaurant adds one more Pacific Northwest stop for a brand that has been steadily spreading across the region.
Design Aims To Court Kraken Fans
Designer Joseph Hsu told What Now Seattle that the team learned the Seattle Kraken practice facility sits close by and wanted to build an emotional link with the neighborhood. Plans call for entrance handles made from hockey-puck material, puck-and-stick lettering and hockey-themed restrooms, Hsu said. Another designer, identified only as Hu in the announcement, said the shop’s lion mascot will appear clutching a hockey stick near the bar as a playful local touch.
Menu Focus: Xiao Long Bao And Bar-Friendly Plates
According to Supreme Dumplings, the menu centers on xiao long bao, the steamed soup dumplings the brand traces back to China’s Song Dynasty. Varieties include pork, pork and shrimp, Szechuan spice, crab and pork and black truffle and chicken. The kitchen also serves pan-fried buns, fried rice, noodles, soups and green and spicy wontons, a lineup that is built to fit a bar-heavy dining room. That mix sets up the Northgate location to handle both quick lunches and longer game-night hangs.

The Northgate Station restaurant, listed at 10200 1st Ave. NE, is aiming for an August opening, according to What Now Seattle. CEO Brandon Ting told the outlet he is excited to meet customers and that the company "likes to proudly deliver moments of joy" to guests and communities. Bigger Push Beyond Seattle
Supreme Dumplings currently lists operating locations in Bellevue, Kirkland and South Lake Union and marks Redmond, Tacoma and Alderwood as "coming soon" on Supreme Dumplings' locations page. The chain has also moved beyond Washington with outposts in Katy, Texas, and a Stonestown location in San Francisco, reflecting a broader growth plan for the brand.
