Leesburg Executive Airport is inviting families with young children to a morning of storytelling and airplane gazing. As reported by the city's news release, the "Storytime at the Airport" event is slated for Monday, February 23, at 10 a.m., with the Loudoun County Public Library crew leading the charge.
This special session will feature a mix of books, songs, and action rhymes, designed to engage kids in a creative, stimulating environment. The library staff, having invited families to share in this unique experience, will host the activity, which admittedly takes an unusual twist by having planes taking off and landing as a backdrop.
Following the story-centric part of the morning, participants can linger on the airport’s outdoor deck. Here, they're encouraged to behold the spectacle of aircraft in their balletic hustle - ascending to the heavens, or gracefully returning to terra firma. This program is free and open to all intrigued parties.
