A man was left clinging to life Thursday afternoon after a shooting at an apartment complex on San Antonio's Northeast Side, according to authorities. Officers and emergency crews rushed to the 4800 block of Ray Bon Drive after witnesses reported an argument that spiraled into gunfire. The victim was taken to a local hospital as a priority-one patient and was listed in critical condition in early reports, as reported by KENS5.

According to KENS5, several witnesses told police that a group of males had gathered at the complex when an argument broke out and quickly escalated. At some point during the confrontation, shots were fired and one man was hit in the stomach area. Suspect Fled On Foot, Police Say
KSAT reported that an SAPD officer at the scene said the suspect fired at the victim "multiple times" before taking off on foot, heading east between nearby buildings. Emergency crews treated the wounded man at the complex, then rushed him to a hospital for further care.
