
A man was shot and robbed today at a gas station in the Bronx, prompting a police search for two suspects. The incident occurred at 1930 Bartow Avenue, near the New England Thruway in the Baychester area. Authorities report that the 37-year-old victim was standing by his truck at the pumps when an altercation with two men led to one suspect drawing a firearm, shooting him in the leg, and stealing his gold chain before fleeing in a black SUV, according to AMNY.
Gas station attendant Zak Amin, who witnessed the incident, reported that the victim had been working on his tire for about half an hour before the shooting occurred. Amin stated that he heard the gunfire and saw the suspects flee. Authorities say one of the suspects was wearing a green vest, and both remain at large. The victim was treated at the scene and transported by EMS to Jacobi Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition. Police secured the area to conduct their investigation., as per ABC7NY.
