Authorities are intensifying their search for a suspect involved in a robbery on a Brooklyn subway train that left a man with a slashing injury. The incident occurred in the early hours of last Saturday on a Manhattan-bound N train approaching the 86th Street station.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was approached by the suspect, who demanded his belongings. According to Brooklyn News 12, when the victim refused, he sustained multiple knife wounds to his head, face, back, and knee. The suspect took the victim’s wallet before fleeing into the 86th Street station.
Following the attack, first responders from Transit District 34, along with EMS, provided immediate assistance to the injured victim. He was then transported to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn. According to reports, the victim is recovering and is expected to survive.
The search for the suspect, described as wearing a red bubble jacket and a black mask, is ongoing. The New York Police Department has released surveillance footage of the individual. As per AM New York, police are asking anyone with information to come forward, with confidentiality assured.
