A routine day at Mobile Bling in University City turned terrifying on Tuesday when a masked gunman rushed behind the counter, pointed a handgun at the store owner and started grabbing merchandise. The robber stuffed dozens of cellphones and cash into a bag before taking off, leaving the shaken owner saying the threat had him fearing for his life.
Surveillance footage shows the masked man wearing black-and-orange gloves as he moves behind the counter, yanks open the register and repeatedly hollers at the owner while he crams phones into a bag. The owner later told Channel 9 he was “just scared” and “shaking” after the confrontation, according to WSOC-TV.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they have charged Na'Sean White in a different armed robbery, this one at a Circle K in the 9200 block of Albemarle Road over the weekend. Detectives are still working to identify a second person of interest in that case and have asked the public to step up with any information, per WBTV.
Helicopter Tracks Suspect To East Charlotte Woods
Police say the department helicopter followed the suspect to a wooded area off Rocky River Church Road, about 11 miles from the Mobile Bling store, where officers moved in and made the arrest. Investigators recovered a bag holding 26 cellphones and more than $1,600 in cash, and reported that a handgun had been discarded behind an AC unit. The suspect was also found wearing gloves similar to those seen in the surveillance video, as reported by WSOC-TV.
