Miami residents are waking up to a cool and clear Monday morning as temperatures hold steady in the mid-50s with calm winds. Some areas might experience pockets of fog in the early hours. The National Weather Service predicts that the sun will help increase temperatures to around 74 degrees in the afternoon, offering "mostly sunny" skies and a gentle east wind picking up to 6 mph, according to their latest NWS forecast.
Amid the pleasant weather, the trend is towards a slight rise in temperature through the week. Each day inches a degree or two higher than the previous, with mornings and afternoons gradually warming. By the weekend, highs are expected to hit the upper-70s to near-80s. Despite the agreeable conditions, South Florida is facing severe drought, with no significant rainfall anticipated to ease the situation. In their forecast, NBC Miami highlights the continuation of this dry pattern, noting that "the next best chance for rain comes by the end of the weekend, and even then it won’t be drought busting."
Looking further ahead into the week, the National Weather Service outlines that Tuesday will remain sunny with a high near 76 degrees, and a light east wind expected to form. Wednesday's and Thursday's forecasts promise similarly "mostly sunny" conditions, with highs climbing to 77 and 78 degrees, respectively. Each day seems to present a weather encore of the last, with minimal variation.
As the weekend nears, there is a small chance of rain that could bring brief relief from dry conditions. NBC Miami forecasts a 20 percent chance of showers Saturday night, increasing to 30 percent on Sunday. While rainfall is expected to be limited, Sunday’s high near 78 degrees keeps outdoor plans largely unaffected. Cloudy skies may linger, but any rain is likely to be light and short-lived.
