Just after midnight in Pearl City, a late-night run to the Petco at Pearl City Gateway turned into a holdup, as three masked men reportedly robbed people in the parking lot and slipped away toward the nearby Walmart area. Honolulu police are now working the case and combing the surrounding retail block for clues.
Honolulu Police said in a social post that District 3 officers were called out at about 12:30 a.m. for a first-degree robbery in the Petco parking lot on Kuala Street. According to Honolulu Police, witnesses and surveillance footage indicate three male suspects approached the victims on foot, all dressed in hoodies, black jeans, ski masks and fanny packs. One suspect allegedly pulled out what officers described as a silver revolver, and the trio is accused of taking jewelry and cash before fleeing toward the Walmart side of the block, possibly getting into a white four-door vehicle.

Local coverage reported the robbery happened just after midnight on Kuala Street and that the victims included four men between 19 and 24 years old, as investigators continued to gather statements and review video. Detectives are also looking closely at the reported getaway vehicle and nearby surveillance cameras, according to Hawaii News Now.
