The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors has approved a contract with UnitedHealthcare to manage health claims for county employees and retirees. County Executive David Crowley confirmed that healthcare coverage for workers and retirees will continue without interruption.
According to the Milwaukee County release, the contract aims to maintain quality benefits while controlling costs. Crowley acknowledged a clerical error earlier in the process but said the issue was resolved quickly through coordinated efforts with County officials.
Moving forward, Crowley plans to strengthen contract management and internal systems in collaboration with the Office of the Comptroller to prevent similar issues.
