Previously reported missing after she left her home in the 8100 block of Greenlawn last Friday and failed to return, her absence sparked concerns, given her medical diagnoses of Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. The update on Whitley's condition was not provided, but the notification of her recovery was succinctly shared by the Detroit Police Department's Missing page.
In an effort to assist in the search for Whitley, the Detroit Police Department had provided a physical description of the young woman and appealed to the public for information. Whitley stands at just 4 feet 10 inches and weighs approximately 95 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The community was urged to come forward with any conceivable clue that could potentially lead to locating and safely returning her.
