Sales and use tax collections rose 5.5% year-to-date to $2.01 billion, with a 16.1% increase for the month.

Corporate tax revenue declined, with corporate income and franchise tax collections down 21.6% year-to-date to $395.9 million and falling 16.9% in January. Collections in the “all other” tax category increased 4.3% year-to-date to $544.3 million but decreased 22.2% for the month, according to the Missouri Office of Administration.

There was a decrease in state tax refunds, with year-to-date refunds down 10.0%, falling from $566.4 million to $509.7 million. However, refunds for January increased slightly by 3.5%.
