A quiet Friday morning at a west Charlotte apartment complex turned violent when a shooting left one person critically injured and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening wounds, authorities said.
What Happened
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to Perimeter Point Apartments, just off West Tyvola Road, after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a victim who was taken by MEDIC to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to WCCB Charlotte.
Police have not released the victim's name. Investigators also have not provided any details about a possible suspect or said whether anyone is in custody, WCCB Charlotte reported. CMPD is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
