New Caney’s sweet tooth just got a caffeine boost. Taza Perfecta, an at-home bakery that has shifted into a pickup operation, has started serving coffee alongside its sugar and royal-icing cookies, owner Maria Diaz said. The business, which opened Jan. 28, is rolling out a limited Valentine’s menu while offering several strawberry-forward drinks for daily pickup in the community.

The early drink lineup features matcha with strawberry cold foam, a strawberry iced white mocha and a sweet strawberry latte, with coffees starting at $5. A Valentine’s bundle pairs three jumbo sugar cookies with royal icing in red, pink and white. Valentine’s coffee and cookie orders should be placed by Tuesday, Feb. 10 to ensure pickup before the holiday, as reported by Community Impact.

"I have actually been wanting to start my at-home coffee business for a while," Diaz told Community Impact, adding that she has been testing beans and flavors to make sure customers like them. Diaz said coffee will be available Monday through Sunday, she plans to add three more drinks by the end of the week, and orders are placed via the shop’s Instagram handle, @tazaperfecta_.

Where Taza Perfecta Fits

The new coffee option joins a stretch of small and mobile coffee businesses that are expanding across east Montgomery County as the area’s retail scene grows. Hoodline recently reported that Cinco Vidas' second trailer is rolling out in New Caney, underscoring local demand for quick-pickup java and seasonal treats.

How To Order

Taza Perfecta is accepting pickups in New Caney and will announce occasional dessert drops on Instagram, Diaz said. Customers who want Valentine’s bundles or the current coffee menu should message the business on Instagram ahead of Tuesday, Feb. 10 to reserve a pickup window.
