North Scottsdale’s Sonora Village has added Floor and Decor to its lineup, joining Dollar Tree, bb.q Chicken, and Akamaru Japanese Restaurant. The new arrivals create a mix of national retail and popular dining at the southwest corner of Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

According to KTAR News, all four tenants are now open at Sonora Village. AZ Big Media reports that property owner YAM Properties announced the additions as part of a broader run of restaurant and retail deals at the center over the past year.

Floor & Decor Brings In-Stock Flooring to Scottsdale

Floor & Decor is a national hard-surface flooring chain, and recent filings show the company operated 251 warehouse-format stores across 38 states as of late December 2024, according to Floor & Decor. The new Sonora Village showroom gives local homeowners and contractors a closer source for the chain’s in-stock tile, wood, vinyl and installation materials.

New Dining Choices Land in the Plaza

bb.q Chicken, the Korean fried chicken brand, opened at Sonora Village in September 2025 and brings its signature double-fried chicken and a drinks program to the plaza, per QSR Magazine. Akamaru, a Tokyo-meets-New-York Japanese concept led by Chef Hiro, began service late last year and offers onigirazu and izakaya-style small plates for lunch and dinner, according to What Now Phoenix.

Dollar Tree and the Center’s Leasing Momentum

Value retailer Dollar Tree has also opened at Sonora Village, giving nearby shoppers a discount option in the center’s tenant mix. AZ Big Media notes the center is roughly 93% leased, and the landlord’s tenant roster and location details are listed on YAM Properties' site.

What This Means for North Scottsdale

“Sonora Village continues to evolve in exciting ways, and we’re proud to introduce new tenants that elevate the experience for North Scottsdale,” Marta Kenny, director of real estate at YAM Properties, said in a statement reported by Arizona Digital Free Press. The mix of national anchors and neighborhood dining helps the plaza compete with nearby retail hubs and keeps foot traffic steady for smaller local merchants.
