Northwest Columbus just landed a new all-you-can-eat player, as an upscale sushi and hibachi restaurant opened Friday near the Dublin border, giving locals another go-to spot for group dinners and family nights out. The concept mixes full sushi counters with tableside hibachi service and is pitched as a more polished take on the endless-sushi craze.
According to NBC4, the restaurant began seating guests this week and is advertising both all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi on its menu. The station highlighted early diners at the opening and described the dining room as noticeably more refined than the typical buffet-style AYCE setup.
How It Shakes Up Columbus’ Sushi Scene
The debut adds fresh competition to a citywide wave of all-you-can-eat and conveyor-belt sushi concepts. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar arrived at Polaris in January 2024, per a Polaris press release, and locally owned buffet-style spots such as City Buffet have also come on the scene in the past year, drawing sizable early crowds. With options now ranging from revolving belts to full hibachi counters, Columbus sushi fans have no shortage of ways to load up on rolls.
Rules, Prices And The Fine Print
As reported by Columbus Monthly, some of the newer revolving-sushi concepts in town have implemented two-hour dining windows and charges for uneaten plates to keep things moving on busy nights. Prices and hours can swing widely between concepts, with weekday lunch often coming in lower than weekend dinner and special policies in place for children and to-go orders.
The new restaurant gives northwest Columbus another approachable option for groups and sushi devotees and could redirect some weekend dinner traffic in the area. Diners should keep an eye on the restaurant’s official channels for posted hours and reservation details as the business settles into its new neighborhood.
