A man from Oaklyn/Barrington, NJ, has been identified and arrested after attempting to engage in illicit activities with a minor through a social media/dating application. According to a social media post by Bensalem Police, 35-year-old Justin Orio believed he was conversing with a 13-year-old girl, initiating a sexually charged dialogue and attempting to solicit illicit images.
The interactions between Orio and who he presumed was a young teen started on November 30, 2025. Orio reportedly inquired about the girl's virginity and requested photos of her. The conversation temporarily ceased but then resumed on December 29 when Orio attempted once more to arrange a physical encounter. He detailed his intentions for sexual acts and suggested he would secretly transport her to his residence, despite the apparent age of the girl.
Authorities conducted a thorough investigation, during which no actual minor was ever at risk. Following the detective's work, Orio was brought in and subsequently confessed to being the individual behind the messages. Yesterday, Orio turned himself over to the Bensalem Township Police Department after an arrest warrant was issued, as detailed by the Bensalem Police.
Orio is now facing serious charges including Unlawful Contact with a Minor and Sexual Abuse of Children involving Photo/Video/Abuse Material. Following his arraignment, the accused was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility, with bail set at 10% of $750,000. Authorities and the community at large remain vigilant to swiftly identify and appropriately deal to hold accountable those who prey on the vulnerable.
