Orange County deputies rushed to a neighborhood in the early hours of Thursday morning after reports of a "man down" near Campanella Avenue & Piedmont Street were made. The emergency call, which was received around 2:50 a.m., has led to a major police presence and an ongoing investigation in a locality that brushes up against the Carver Shores area, reported by FOX 35 Orlando. Despite the morning's break, the scene remains tense with law enforcement cordoning off parts of the neighborhood.
Details are sparse, but what is clear is that the deputies were quick to the scene shortly before 3 a.m., responding to the distressing call. Large swaths of Piedmont Street were blocked off as officials from the Orange County Sheriff's Office secured the area and initiated their protocols. According to WFTV, they have reached out to the sheriff's office for more information, but, as of their last report, specifics about the incident or the condition of the person discovered remain unavailable.
